Editing: Concrete pads for two radar sites
Concrete pads for two radar sites
Site originally developed around early 2002; possibly for a program code named "Senior Suter" developed by a secretive USAF unit code named "Big Safari". The program exploited vulnerabilities in enemy radar systems by inserting code designed to compromise their effectiveness. The location in the saddle was likely chosen to prevent RF leakage to surrounding public land. Due to terrain there is a narrow corridor for RF to propagate to the NW, deep into the restricted area and towards the 70's ranges. Another terrain opening is due East, but propagation would end at the Papoose Range, still far inside the restricted area. Some discussion about these pads and the projects mentioned above here: https://www.dreamlandresort.com/forum/messages/54047.html
