There are several entrances and exits on the way to the weather station. It's easy to get lost, so it's most efficient to look closely at the sign with an overall map near the entrance near the weather station and start your tour from there. It takes about an hour to walk there and back from the city center. The incline is steep, so walking is probably better than cycling.
As we walked along the road, we came across several guide signs on the right. Motorcycles can be parked here, but cars cannot. This is where the artillery facilities are concentrated, and you can clearly see the difference between the artillery batteries before and after the Greater East Asia War.
During our island tour, we stopped here to park our car. Instead of visiting the remains of the battery, we looked down on Futami Port from here. In the end, this was the best view of Futami Port I had during my stay on Chichijima. The Ogasawara Maru, anchored there, looked very reliable.
