Description

A military bunker located near Movik, Norway, overlooking the Skagerrak Straits. This site was originally constructed during World War II by German forces and once housed one of the largest cannons in the world - a Krupp 380mm gun with a range of up to 55 kilometers. The fort sits in a commanding position between Norway and Denmark, reflecting the strategic importance of this coastal location during the war. Following the war, Norway's Cold War proximity to the USSR led to continued military use and development of bunkers in the region.
