The Savoy Bunker at Villa Ada is a wartime underground shelter built exclusively for Italy's former royal family in Rome. Located within the expansive Villa Ada park, the bunker spans over 200 square meters and features a circular plan with seven rooms, including two main rooms, two bathrooms, an antechamber, and two service rooms. After more than five years of closure, the historic structure has reopened to the public, offering insight into the royal family's preparations for air raids during World War II. Villa Ada, the second-largest park in Rome, served as a royal residence and now preserves this significant piece of Italian wartime heritage.
