The Casemate Double CORF Rothenbourg is a fortified bunker located along the Maginot Line in northeastern France. Built as part of France's defensive strategy against potential German invasion in the 1930s, this structure was designed to house troops and weaponry to defend the border. The Maginot Line, named after French Minister of War André Maginot, was a vast network of concrete fortifications, obstacles, and weapon installations constructed to deter and delay enemy forces.
The Rothenbourg casemate is one of many such structures that formed this extensive defensive line.
