The Līgatne Soviet Bunker, located near the town of Līgatne in Latvia, is a former top-secret military facility constructed during the Cold War era. Built approximately 9 meters underground, this bunker was designed to serve as a secure shelter for Latvia's Communist Party elite in the event of a nuclear conflict. The site remained highly classified for decades, with even employees at the adjacent rehabilitation center unaware of its existence for over 30 years.
Today, the bunker has been preserved as a museum, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into the Soviet era with original exhibits and artifacts that have survived since its operational days.
