Cold War Government Bunker

A military bunker located near Hole, Norway, built during the Cold War as part of Norway's strategic defense infrastructure. The facility, known as Sentralanlegget, was designed as an underground shelter carved into the west side of the mountain Kongens utsikt, specifically constructed to withstand a direct hit from a nuclear missile. Norway's proximity to the Soviet Union during the Cold War necessitated the development of extensive bunker networks and secret military bases across the country, with this facility serving as the primary war headquarters for the Norwegian government.
