Movik Fort, located near Kristiansand in southern Norway, is a former German coastal artillery battery built during World War II. Originally constructed by the German Wehrmacht as part of the Atlantic Wall defenses, the fort once housed a massive Krupp 380mm cannon with a range of up to 55 kilometers. The site sits in a commanding position overlooking the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark.
After the war, the fort remained abandoned for decades before Norway began restoring Cold War-era military bunkers across the country as tensions with Russia increased.
