This military bunker is part of the Vallo Alpino, the extensive Italian fortification system built along the 1,851 km northern frontier during the 1930s under the direction of Benito Mussolini. Located in the Veneto region near the town of Schio, this structure formed part of Italy's defensive line facing Austria and Switzerland. The Vallo Alpino was defended by the Guardia alla Frontiera (Ga F), special Italian troops tasked with border protection.
These fortifications were constructed in the years leading up to World War II as part of Italy's strategic military preparations.
