Description

This research is automated and may contain errors.

A former Royal Observer Corps underground monitoring post located near Saxmundham, Suffolk, United Kingdom. This post was part of a nationwide network established during the Cold War to monitor nuclear fallout and provide early warning of potential attacks. The Royal Observer Corps operated these small, hardened bunkers across Britain from the 1950s until 1991, when the organization was stood down following the end of the Cold War.

Many of these underground structures still exist today under private ownership, though access requires permission from the current landowner.
