Movik Fort is a historic German-built coastal fortification located near the Skagerrak Straits in Norway. Constructed during World War II, this strategic bunker once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers (35 miles) and weighing 337 tonnes. The fort sits in a commanding position overlooking the straits between Norway and Denmark, serving as a key defensive installation during the German occupation.
Today, the site represents an important piece of Norway's wartime military heritage and Cold War-era fortifications, though it has been closed to visitors due to preservation concerns.
