A military bunker located near the town of Brescia in northern Italy, part of the broader Alpine Wall (Vallo Alpino) fortification system constructed by Fascist Italy in the years leading up to World War II. This defensive line, stretching over 1,850 kilometers along Italy’s northern borders with France, Switzerland, Austria, and Yugoslavia, was designed to deter invasion and project Mussolini’s territorial ambitions. The bunker at these coordinates lies within the Lombardy sector, a region heavily fortified to guard against potential incursions from the north, particularly from Swiss and Austrian forces.

Architecturally, the structure is characteristic of the Alpine Wall’s standardized concrete emplacements, built to withstand artillery fire and accommodate machine guns or light artillery. These fortifications were often integrated into mountainous terrain, utilizing natural cover and camouflage. Though not as massive as the later German Siegfried Line or French Maginot Line, the Alpine Wall represented a significant investment in static defense, with over 15,000 individual positions constructed between 1931 and 1940. The site was manned by the Guardia alla Frontiera (Ga F), Italy’s specialized frontier defense troops.

During the Allied campaign in Italy (1943–45), this sector saw limited direct combat, as the main front shifted southward after the Italian armistice in September 1943. The bunker likely fell into disuse following the collapse of the Italian Royal Army and the German occupation of northern Italy. Today, it remains a relic of interwar militarism and is of interest to military history enthusiasts and urbex explorers. Its remote, forested location near the foothills of the Alps has preserved much of its structure, though it shows signs of weathering and partial collapse.

The site is not associated with any known command functions or famous historical figures, and no records indicate post-war military use. Its current status is verified as a confirmed component of the historical Alpine Wall system.
