A military bunker located near Dunkirk, France, in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region. This area was historically significant during World War II, particularly during the Battle of Dunkirk in 1940. The region around Dunkirk was part of the extensive Maginot Line defensive fortifications built by France in the 1930s to deter German aggression.
While the main Maginot Line was further east, coastal defenses and smaller fortifications were constructed along the northern French coast, including near Dunkirk.
