A WWII German bunker located near Ano Platanias, close to Chania on the island of Crete, Greece. This military structure was built during the Axis occupation of Greece, which began in April 1941 after Nazi Germany invaded to assist its ally Italy. The bunker served as part of the German defensive network during the Battle of Crete, launched on 20 May 1941.
Today, it has been transformed into a unique museum that preserves the memories and history of that period, offering visitors a glimpse into life during the German occupation at a depth of eight metres underground.
