A military bunker located near Movik, Norway, overlooking the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark. This historic fortification was originally constructed during World War II by German forces as part of their Atlantic Wall defensive system. The site once housed the second largest cannon in the world - a massive Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes.
The bunker sits in a commanding position above the coastline, reflecting the strategic importance of Norway's geography during both World War II and the Cold War period. Norway's extensive network of military bunkers, including this one, has recently been restored as tensions with Russia have brought renewed attention to these Cold War-era defensive structures.
