Description

A Cold War-era nuclear fallout shelter located near White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia, USA. This secret bunker was built beneath the Greenbrier Resort and designed to house the entire United States Congress in the event of a nuclear attack. Construction began in 1958 and the facility remained classified and operational until its public exposure in 1992 by a Washington Post article.
