30/07/1996 Hexagonal type 22 pillbox, made of breeze blocks with brick interior lining. 6 sides, each 8ft long. Entrance on S side: each of the other sides has an embrasure. Concrete roof. Interior concrete baffle wall with S33 inscribed on it. Walls 2ft thick. 1972 Small hexagonal pillbox plotted from OS 1: 2500 sheet.

Type 22 infantry pillbox. Concrete block construction. S33 stencilled on anti-ricochet wall. Principal face is NW, also W and N. Covers Weycroft Bridge, River Axe frontage. One of only two type 22 pillboxes on the S stretch of the Taunton Stop Line (the other is at Musbury/Colyton).

Both may have served as posts for bridge demolition parties as well as providing general defensive fire. Condition is good and stable. 1940 Bren emplacement. S. 33. 28/04/1997 Type 22 pillbox. Concrete block construction. S33 stencilled on anti-ricochet wall. Faces NW. Condition good.

14/01/2003 Type 22 pillbox. Good example. Faces NW. S. 33 stencilled on interior blast wall. By public footpath. Interior access.
