15/02/1999 This pillbox was originally sited approximately in the centre of Pentewan Beach to the rear of the sands. It was demolished about 8 years ago as it was situated in the middle of a caravan and chalet holiday park. The actual pillbox site is now marked by a flower bed which was built over the old foundations. The pillbox was one of four, and a coastal gun, protecting this beach.
