The Keroman Submarine Base, located near Lorient in northwestern France, is a former Nazi U-boat bunker complex from World War II. Constructed between 1941 and 1944, it consists of three massive bunkers: Keroman I, II, and III. The largest, Keroman III, measures 170 meters long and 122 meters wide.
Following the war, the French Navy utilized the base until the 1990s. Today, the Keroman 3 bunker is open to the public, serving as a monument and museum dedicated to the history of the U-boat war. It stands as a symbol of Lorient's strategic significance during the conflict and attracts visitors interested in military history and wartime fortifications.
