16/02/1999 A double roadblock is indicated at this point in a 1940 defence plan for Kidderminster. This is corroborated by an eyewitness who describes two staggered sandbagged breast works, with loopholes, in the sandstone cutting. Concrete blocks were stored in a field further to the N. Nothing now remains except a notch in the bank on the W side of the cutting.
