This bunker is part of the Línea P (P Line), a fortified defensive line built in the Pyrenees between 1944 and 1948 to protect Spanish territory from potential Allied invasion. Located in the Sierra de Aralar near the French-Spanish border, this structure represents Spain's military preparedness during the final years of World War II. The P Line, officially known as the Pyrenees Defense Organisation, consisted of thousands of bunkers strategically positioned along the 500 km natural barrier formed by the Pyrenees mountains.
