1997 Type 22 hexagonal pillbox. 6 x embrasures. Covers the beaches to Thorney. Unique brick and concrete embrasures. 04/1998 Type 22 hexagonal brick-shuttered pillbox, one of the earliest built (July-Aug. 1940). It has 5 x Turnbull mountings that were not installed until March 1941: these were removed in the early 1950s, but the pintle and holding bolts survive as they are cast into the concrete embrasures.

The entrance is on the N side. (This pillbox is on Mo D land). (Recorder Cobb gives Grid reference - SU 76770100) 02/1996 Brick-shuttered pillbox. 1996 Pillbox type 22, faces S, covering the beaches and approaches to Thorney Island. Unique brick and concrete embrasures.
