Bunkier 1 is a military bunker located in northern Poland, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. This region was heavily fortified during World War II as part of the German Eastern Front defenses. The area around Mamerki (formerly Mauerwald) served as a major military complex housing the Supreme Command of the Wehrmacht. Many concrete fortifications from this era remain scattered throughout the Masurian landscape, reflecting the strategic importance of the region during the war.
The bunker is situated in a wooded area characteristic of the Masurian Lake District, a region known for its numerous lakes and dense forests. This terrain provided natural camouflage for military installations during wartime. Today, many of these structures serve as historical monuments and attract visitors interested in military history and urbex exploration.
