Movik Fort, located near the Skagerrak Straits in Norway, is a historic German-built coastal fortification constructed during World War II. The fort once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm gun with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes. Built by the German Kriegsmarine during the occupation of Norway, the fort occupied a strategic position overlooking the maritime approaches between Norway and Denmark.
Today, this Cold War-era military site has been closed to the public, though it remains an important part of Norway's military heritage and coastal defense history.
