A military bunker located near Movik, Norway, situated in a commanding position above the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark. This WWII-era fortification was part of the extensive German defensive network constructed during the German occupation of Norway. The site once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes.
Movik Fort represents Norway's complex wartime history and the strategic importance of its coastal defenses during the Second World War.
