Alpine Wall Bunker

A military bunker located in northern Italy, part of the extensive Alpine Wall (Vallo Alpino) defensive system constructed under Benito Mussolini's regime in the years leading up to World War II. This fortification network stretched along Italy's 1,851 km northern frontier facing France, Switzerland, Austria, and Yugoslavia, and was defended by the specialized Guardia alla Frontiera (Ga F) troops. The bunker represents the strategic military architecture developed to protect Italy's alpine borders during the wartime period.
