A German Type 611 bunker located on the northern pier in Hook of Holland, Netherlands. This coastal defense structure was part of the Atlantic Wall, the extensive system of fortifications built by Nazi Germany along the western coast of Europe during World War II. The bunker was designed to house a field gun and served as part of the defensive network protecting the strategic port and entrance to the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt delta. Today, it forms part of the Atlantikwall-Museum, which serves as the Dutch center for knowledge and education about the Atlantic Wall and its historical significance.
