FA Stofflager is a former French military ammunition storage facility located in northern France. The site was part of France's Cold War-era nuclear deterrence infrastructure, designed to store conventional and potentially nuclear munitions. During the Cold War, France maintained an extensive network of such facilities to support its independent nuclear deterrent strategy, which included ground-based and submarine-based nuclear missiles as well as cruise missiles with atomic warheads carried on combat jets.
The facility reflects France's commitment to maintaining full control over its nuclear arsenal while developing strategic storage capabilities in support of its military doctrine.
