30/03/1997 Coastal battery, with engine house, magazine, and searchlight. Armament - 2 x 4ins naval guns (replaced in 1942 by 2 x 6ins guns plus electrically detonated rockets. Manned by 561 Regt. RA (Maj. G. D. Copley) , then by Home Guard under Lt. R. G. Lawson. Most of the site has now fallen into the sea, and little remains. 15/9/16 Shown on the 1961 1:2500 OS map.
