02/12/1996 Similar to a type 28A anti-tank position (from photograph this is more like a Type 24). It has a square concrete stand behind, surmounted by a round metal plate. It appears to have only one other gun port, this being in a secondary compartment to the left of the gun placement. (Presumably guarding the railway from Ely and the level crossing. At this point, the road and rail cross the river into Ely).
