The Līgatne Soviet Bunker, located near the town of Līgatne in Latvia, is a former top-secret military facility constructed during the Cold War era. Built approximately 9 meters underground, this bunker was designed to serve as a secure shelter for Latvia's Communist elite in the event of a hypothetical nuclear war. The bunker's existence remained highly classified for decades, with even employees and clients of the adjacent rehabilitation center unaware of its presence for 30 years after construction.
