A military bunker located in the Italian Alps, part of the extensive Alpine Wall (Vallo Alpino) defensive system built under Mussolini's regime in the years leading up to World War II. This fortification network stretched along Italy's 1,851 km northern frontier facing France, Switzerland, Austria, and Yugoslavia. The bunker was defended by the Guardia alla Frontiera (Ga F), Italy's special frontier troops.
These fortifications were designed to protect Italy's northern borders and were part of a comprehensive defensive strategy implemented in the late 1930s and early 1940s.
