A military bunker located near Movik, Norway, part of the extensive German defensive fortifications built during World War II. Movik Fort, situated in a commanding position above the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark, was originally constructed by German forces as part of the Atlantic Wall defensive system. The site once housed the second largest cannon in the world at the time - a massive Krupp 380mm gun with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes.
This coastal artillery position was designed to control the strategic waterway between Norway and Denmark, protecting German naval and merchant shipping from Allied attacks.
