02/1999 The main Looe coastal battery which consisted of two six inch guns. The guns were positioned on the cliffs at Hannafore to protect the harbour entrance, in the region of the present car park. 05/2000 Coastal battery. Potential concrete structures seen at 25605234 and 25405227. (information from 1946 aerial photographs).
