Description

This research is automated and may contain errors.

09/04/2000 Trenches were dug here by the Home Guard during WW2, presumably to cover the open fields to the S against a parachute drop to attack Defford Airfield. In the event, they were used for grenade practice, apparently utilising full tins of beans as dummy grenades. There is no real sign of the trenches now. Information from local resident.
