Description

This research is automated and may contain errors.

08/1992 Type 22 pillbox, with brick shuttering, much of which is now missing. Concrete in very bad condition. The walls are 2. 4m long and 600mm thick. There is an octagonal plinth on the roof with 3 small bolts. They seem too small and weak to be part of a weapon mount although some sort of LAA is possible.

Polygonal pillbox, probably part of the defences of Swannington airfield. Brick and concrete construction. Situated on bend of road with embrasures covering both directions of road. 12/09/2000 Hexagonal pillbox with embrasures on 5 sides. Anti ricochet wall inside. Concrete platform on roof with bolts.
