22/11/1995 No visible signs remain of 363 Coastal Battery, RA position (remembered by recorder). (Mr. Dickie Cord, local boatman, stated that the LAA defence at this battery shot down two German aircraft on Torre Abbey beach. The recorder remembers seeing one burning on the beach).

1943 Documentary source provides information that this was an L type coast artillery battery manned by 363 Coast Battery of 556 Coast Regiment. Its main armament was 2 x 4. 7in naval guns: secondary armament, 1 x 75mm gun and 1 x naval U. P. Cassini ref. Y 338848.
