Aunty Esther here again, this time I am in the Southern Village of Agat (Hagat). It has been a rainy week here. I am visiting The War in the Pacific Agat Unit-Ga'an Point. Beautiful beach side park, though the grass was a bit long. But dont let that stop you from seeing a piece of history that many still dont know about. Take it from me, there is so much more to see on GUAM..
A neat piece of history where you can explore the invasion site, beaches, pillboxes, and more from the US invasion of Guam in July 1944. Be careful if you go into the pillboxes or caves; unexploded ordnance is still around and the caves/pillboxes are old and not structurally sound. Be carefu, watch out for stinging ants, and have a good time!
Really neat piece of history located here. This really puts things into perspective with how intense the wars here were. I’m very graceful for our soldiers and the people of Guam.
