Description

This research is automated and may contain errors.

1996 Pillbox, with a wavy-edge made to the roof for camouflage purposes. 05/05/1996 Gun emplacement and other structures that were in the grounds of the Old Manor House (later hotel). This was evacuated in 1943-44 and later destroyed, partly by US shell fire and partly by a fire. The grounds have now been converted into a nature trail. The only military remains to be seen today are part of a building (now a greenhouse?) and an L-shaped slit trench, heavily overgrown.
