Movik Fort is a former German coastal artillery battery located near the Skagerrak Straits in southern Norway. Built during World War II, the fort once housed a massive Krupp 380mm cannon, one of the largest artillery pieces of the war, with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes. The site sits in a commanding position overlooking the strategic waterway between Norway and Denmark, reflecting the German military's focus on controlling key maritime routes during the occupation.
Today, the fort is part of Norway's extensive network of preserved military bunkers from both WWII and the Cold War era, serving as a historical monument to the region's complex military past.
