Movik Fort is a historic German coastal fortification located near the Skagerrak Straits in Norway. Originally constructed during World War II by German forces, the site once housed the second largest cannon in the world—a massive Krupp 380mm artillery piece with a range of up to 55 kilometers and weighing 337 tonnes. The fort sits in a commanding position overlooking the strategic waterway between Norway and Denmark, reflecting the German military's emphasis on controlling key maritime approaches during the occupation of Norway.
Today, the site represents an important piece of Norway's wartime military heritage and has been subject to preservation efforts as interest in Cold War-era and WWII fortifications continues to grow.
