Bunker 392 is part of the Neckar-Enz-Stellung, a defensive line constructed by Nazi Germany in 1935 along the Neckar and Enz rivers. This line of fortifications was built as a reaction to France's construction of the Maginot Line and was intended to protect the industrial regions of Baden and Württemberg.
