The Žibininkų Partisan Bunker is a reconstructed underground shelter located in the Kretinga district of Lithuania. It serves as a historical monument commemorating the Lithuanian partisans (forest brothers) who resisted Soviet occupation following World War II. The original bunker was constructed in 1945 by members of the Kardo detachment (Kardo rinktinė), an armed resistance group active in the Kretinga region. It was destroyed during a battle with Soviet forces later that same year.
This site is significant as a tangible remnant of the post-war anti-Soviet resistance movement in Lithuania. The reconstruction, completed for the 75th anniversary of the partisans' deaths, allows visitors to experience the harsh conditions faced by the fighters. The bunker was a winter hideout, providing essential shelter for weary partisans during the cold months. Its location in the Žibininkai forest thicket was strategically chosen for its concealment.
