The Technischer Bunker is a military bunker located in Germany, associated with the country's Cold War-era civil defense infrastructure. Built during the Cold War period, it was part of Germany's extensive bunker network designed to protect government and military personnel in the event of nuclear conflict. Despite surveys in 1962 revealing that the bunker would collapse if hit by a nuclear bomb, construction continued for political reasons.
The bunker was ultimately abandoned in 1997 following the decision to relocate Germany's capital and government seat to Berlin, as no civilian use could be found for the structure.
