Pillbox

26/07/1999 Pillbox, referred to in Wills, H. , Pillboxes as being disguised as a kiosk with the name Hyam Ready on it. Today, most of the buildings at this site are post-war. (The shopping concourse includes a raised area with steps which makes the recorder reflect that the pillbox may be buried underneath). A square pillbox at the centre of a roundabout outside the Old Town Hall (now the Guildbourne Centre). At one time it was painted to resemble a shop with the name Hyam Already.
