13/06/1996 Battery, now lying in private grounds. Probably 2 gun positions, a large concrete base, and a brick building. 23/03/1996 4 x 4. 5 inch guns manned by 329 Coastal Battery were located at Salcombe. Although the battery borders the South Devon footpath and a NT property, the position itself is in the grounds of a private house, The Bolt.

Substantial remains can be seen. Coastal erosion has caused a cliff path to fall away. 05/2000 Coastal battery. 1968 large-scale plan shows some structures surviving.
