Movik Fort is a German WWII coastal artillery bunker located near the Skagerrak Straits between Norway and Denmark. Constructed in 1943, it housed the second-largest naval gun ever built, a Krupp 380mm cannon weighing 337 tonnes with a range of 55 kilometers. The fort's strategic position allowed it to monitor maritime traffic between the North Sea and the Baltic Sea.
After the war, it was decommissioned and partially demolished, leaving behind reinforced concrete structures and gun emplacements that now serve as a historical monument. Today, the site is closed to the public due to safety concerns but remains a significant example of Nazi Germany's Atlantic Wall defenses in occupied Norway.
