02/1998 Two American servicemen were killed in this minefield on 27 July 1944. (This incident was witnessed by Frank Dawe of Yeovil, a member of the Royal Observer Corps on duty at the observation post at Grove Point, and Gordon Black of Portland who lived at the Grove.
