Built 9 meters beneath the ground, this bunker was designed to serve as a shelter for Latvia's Communist elite in the event of a hypothetical nuclear war. The bunker remained highly classified for decades, with even employees and clients of the adjacent rehabilitation center unaware of its existence for 30 years after construction.
The facility now operates as a museum, displaying authentic Soviet-era exhibits that have survived since its operational days.
