15/01/1998 The former St George Tavern was used as the HQ of the North Unit of the 1st Worcestershire (Worcester) Battalion HG. The North Unit comprised A and B Coys of the Battalion were responsible for defence of the N part of the City. The Tavern has been redeveloped and is now called The Cavalier.
